Prior to opening Carney & Associates public relations firm, Kathlene Carney was a talk show producer for ABC’s KGO-AM, the largest news/talk radio station in Northern California. She also worked as a news producer for NBC’s KNBR-AM, produced talk programming for KSFO-AM and KYA-FM, and rocked the airwaves as a DJ on KCRK-FM –all in the San Francisco market.
Kathlene graduated with honors from San Francisco State University with a
degree in Broadcast Communication Arts. She was a member of the Northern
California Book Publicity and Marketing Association, the San Francisco Bay
Area Publicity Club, where she served as vice president and secretary,
and currently volunteers for the Menbe’s Way Fund in Richmond, CA. Kathlene continues her education through media relations conferences and webinars, and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
As a writer and editor Laurel Crews is responsible for writing blog posts, press materials, articles, and other client content.
She has designed and implemented email marketing campaigns, including lead nurturing drip campaigns, newsletters, activity boosts, event announcements, and book alerts. Laurel has experience building monthly content strategies based on performance metrics, cross-departmental collaboration, seasonal topics,
book or product timelines, and SEO goals.
Laurel received the 2014 Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research and 2014 Outstanding Graduating Senior awards from University of California, Davis. She also participated in MIT’s Master’s Degree Program, studying Comparative Media Studies. She currently lives with her husband in Silicon Valley.
